Hawkins in Tom Waits tribute

In a different spin to his hectic London gig circuit schedule, Paul Hawkins will be performing a solo show and a Tom Waits tribute on Saturday night. The man himself has the details:

This Saturday myself and the band are playing a Tom Waits tribute night at the Cross Kings in Kings Cross. We’re headlining (about 10/10:30ish) and are going to be playing 3 Tom Waits songs and 3/4 of our own, including 2 songs you very probably won’t have heard before. Also playing are our very good friends Albino and a host of other bands. Entry is £5 or £3 if you buy an advance ticket.

Details here:

Earlier that night, at 7pm, I’ll be playing a short solo gig at the Camden Head (in Camden High Street just south of the tube station and roughly opposite where Woolworths used to be – map here:

This is a fringe gig to the Camden Crawl so will be free to Camden Crawl wristband holders and £2 to anybody else who fancies wandering in. It’s actually a really good line-up with the Indelicates and Wojtek Godzisz (formerly of Symposium and damn good in his own right) amongst others playing and, I believe, Eddie Argos among the DJs. Although, if I were you, I’d still head down to the Tom Waits night ‘cos we’re dead good live.

I will be announcing some exciting news soon about my 2006 solo album The Misdiagnosis of Paul Hawkins and also about a really interesting interview I took part in recently but I’ll hold off on that for now so as not to overload you all with info.
